MSc thesis in Earthquake Engineering: "Displacement based design of a rocking wall for seismic improvement of an industrial precast building”. Supervisor: Marco Savoia, co-supervisor: Marco Bovo.The aim of that thesis project is to design an intervention for seismic improvement of industrial precast building. This intervention is based upon externally adding one hybrid wall for each frame line of the building.The design of the hybrid rocking wall is made by using a displacement based design approach.The behavior of the intervention is tested into a finite element model. In particular, anon-linear time history analysis is performed in order to get a response of the structure duringseismic event.A briefly benchmark is proposed in order to study the behavior of the intervention againstsome design parameters
