Inge is currently an entrepreneur that owns 800 hives where she works as a beekeeper and consultant. She is the Chairperson for the Mpumalanga Branch of the Northerns Beekeeper Association as well as a board member of the South African Bee Industry Organisaion (SABIO). She provides both consulting services on beekeeping industry issues as well as pollination services for growers and growers associations. She furthermore assists growers and beekeepers alike to plant bee forage in order to increase forage for pollinators in rurual areas. She also provides a professional bee removal service within Mpumalanga and training of beekeepers and bee enthusiasts alike and providing mentorship for development projects.Inge spent 2008 – 2010 in Tanzania with her husband and family where she volunteered as a project manager and trainer for the poultry section of the Peramiho Monastry near the town of Songea, setting up their layer section with 4000 hens and the broiler section with 500 chickens produced per week. This included all work plans, sourcing of chicks, analyzing of feed ingredients and working out economical feed compositions to ensure optimal production. This was necessary as prepared chicken feed is not available in this area. All ingredients have to be locally sourced, milled and mixed on site according to the age and purpose of the chickens. Inge worked from 2006 until 2008 as an ISO9001 Branch Quality Systems Manager and Internal Quality Auditor for Jeffares & Green Consulting Engineers Pty Ltd in Pietermaritzburg. She provided training in quality management in the office as well as verifying whether quality activities and related results comply with planned arrangements by means of regular auditing in accordance with the approved audit plan.
