In my role as a medical receptionist at Zest Infusion Psychology I am required to perform reception duties such as answering phones, booking appointments, creating a warm and welcoming environment for clients, supporting the practitioners, filing documents, entering personal details into the system, ensuring client confidentiality and processing payments and medicare rebates. In addition to these duties I am required to compile workbooks for workshops run at the practice, keep office clean, lock up the office and occasionally assist with marketing brochures and manage the company Facebook page.

I was offered a position at Woolworths after attending a mock interview through school. In my mock interview I was required to reenact a real interview with the prospect of potentially receiving employment. After the interview I was offered a casual position as a service cashier. During the (nearly) 3 years at Woolworths I was also trained in the Deli department, Replenishment (stacking shelves with new stock) and minimal Produce (replenishing fresh fruit and vegetables). My role as a service cashier required me to serve customers, clean registers, replenish confectionary items stocked at the registers, return unwanted stock, cash up (handle cash payments and empty and fill the cash drawer during the day), process payments and manage customer inquiries and complaints.My roles in the Deli, Produce and Replenishment departments required a willingness to assist in new departments due to a lack of available staff and increased demand in the department. In Deli I was required to weigh, wrap and label products for customers, remove cooked chickens from ovens, bag them, label them and put deli items such as cheese on display. In Replenishment and Produce I was required to check if items were in date, restock shelves, return misplaced items to their original position and remove old stock.

I began volunteering in a school holiday program for primary aged students in 2012. In this year I worked with a senior leader and ran group activities with a small group of Year 6 girls within a larger group of approximately 200 children from Prep - Year 7 with a concert held at the end of the week. The following year I lead a group of Year 1 boys by myself and began looking after toddlers during the Sunday sermon (Sunday school teacher assistant). My roles required me to be responsible for the health and safety of young children, facilitate their learning and allow them to feel welcome and safe. I was also required to run small group activities reflecting on a lesson taught by the program director and teaching both Drama and Art to groups of 30 children of varying age and ability groups. After 2 years I took a year off before joining the welcome team in the youth church. In this role I was required to welcome the youth into church and direct new children where to go. I was also required to set up chairs for the service and assist in running games, collecting cash donations (offerings) and handing out flyers/summaries of the sermon.
