    My PhD research focuses on the role of peasant movements and their participation in global policy processes within the UN Committee on World Food Security (CFS) via the Civil Society Mechanism (CSM). I analysed mainly two processes: the Voluntary Guidelines on the Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the context of National Food Security (VGGTs) and the CSF Principles on Responsible Agricultural Investments (CFS-rai). With La vía Campesina as my focal point, I carried out research in CSM working groups, participated in multi-stakeholder negotiations and conducted over 150 interviews with different stakeholders during field work in West Africa and Southeast Asia.
