I find it interesting how you pick one path in life, get a degree that points in the same direction and then you end up getting a job with tasks you never knew existed but which is much more interesting than whatever else you had imagined.That is what happened to me. I chose the path of communication but found that PLM - Product Lifecycle Management - and particularly the related processes and softwares is what I am good at and like doing. Processes: Engineering/Enterprise Change Management, Document Management System, Material Master Data and Cross-ApplicationSoftwares: SAP ECC / S/4 Hana and Teamcenter - if I had to choose one of them, it would be SAP. SAP is my true software love.If you had asked me a few years ago what type of organization I would prefer to work in, I would tell you that "I thrive in a stable organizational culture with well-defined boundaries.". In fact, I just cut that line from my profile and pasted it here. I have realized that I am able to thrive even in an changing organization where the boundaries are not clear. What I need to thrive are: Interesting tasks, great colleagues, feeling so comfortable in my work and in the organization that I am unafraid to speak up and challenge the status quo, and I require a manager who is willing to listen to my problems and who understands what I do enough to be a sounding board.I have also found that I am able and willing to do non-favorite tasks provided I am able to complain about them to someone.A thing I find interesting when working with people is to try to find out what people would complain or be confused about and then present them with the reasons or solutions beforehand. As a key user, this can be an interesting challenge with a valuable outcome.While I am a good team player, I have a tendency to wanting to do tasks on my own to avoid missing a deadline. I am not afraid of admitting and correcting mistakes nor of asking questions to avoid mistakes.I am a skilled proofreader and consider myself a language geek.
