Warehouse Optimisation:I formed part of a team tasked with the optimisation of a warehouse. The project focused on the consolidation of various warehouses, capacity analysis, redesigning of chambers, strategic allocation of materials for picking efficiency and the planning, implementation and on-site support of the warehouse reshuffle. Simulation:I was responsible for the development of a simulation model to facilitate the design of a future layout and operational requirements of a cold-based storage company to meet the warehouse demand. The model-assisted with implementing one-directional vehicle flow, determining the location of auxiliary functions as well as the design of an additional vehicle yard. Multiple scenarios were compared to the baseline to support operational and strategic decisions.Facility Design:I formed part of a team and lead a team, involved in the design of multiple design projects within the manufacturing and warehouse environment. The projects necessitated a deep understanding of current processes, data analysis, future state requirements and the design of future state concepts. Supply and Production Planning:My responsibilities included the national production planning and distribution planning of product for the entire companies’ manufacturing plants and warehouses. Daily engagements and coordination of planning activities with all the logistic service providers and continuous support driving execution.

As a student assistant for the School of Industrial Engineering my responsibilities included:- Marking assignments and tests for the following subjects: - Supply chain management; - Process drawings; - Operations management; - Business analytics;Compiling the necessary Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) accreditation documentation for the industrial engineering school.

As a student intern at Southern Implants, I completed my compulsory engineering student work hours. My responsibilities included:- Identifying various forms of process waste.- Creating a floorplan and spaghetti diagram.- Conducting various time studies.- Designed a BPMN diagram of entire operation.- Proposed various solutions to wastes and assessed solutions with a risk matrix.
