International peace programme with focus on Protection of Human Rights Defenders, through "preventive presence" and risk management approaches Main responsibilities:- Planned, implemented and monitored activities carried out in the Chocó region of Colombia;- Was responsible for coordination with the Bogota office and led the team of international observers in Chocó;- Participated in the development of a new programme grant proposal to Sida, which was awarded approximately six million over a four year period; - Was responsible for institutional dialogue with Colombian authorities such as the Military, the Police and Ombudsman’s Office, with the purpose of bringing attention to the difficult situation of accompanied human rights defenders in the Department of Chocó- Was responsible for contacts and meetings with national and international networks- Accompanied Colombian human rights defenders and local NGOs on field missions in the department of Chocó (UN Security Level 3)- Wrote risk and conflict analyses, risk assessments and established risk mitigation plans at individual and organisational levels - Was responsible for economic accounting and budget evaluation- Was overall responsible for staff security of staff placed in Chocó in dialogue with the country representative stationed in Bogotá.

- Was responsible for updating the Ambassador and the rest of the staff on important news, decisions, and activities of the Swedish Foreign Ministry and Swedish domestic politics- Wrote official letters addressed from the Slovenian Embassy to the Swedish government and other Missions based in Stockholm

I wrote a context analysis of Guatemala, which served as background document informing the development of a long-term development cooperation strategy with the country.

Directorate General for Development and Relations with African, Caribbean and Pacific States:- Assisted the regional desk and the Deputy Head of Unit in activities covering all regional and inter-regional aspects of EU-Caribbean relations, including; implementation of Economic Partnership Agreements, regional cooperation under the 9th and 10th European Development Funds, drugs and security, natural disaster, and follow-up to the EU-CARIFORUM Declaration on Climate Change.

-Processed matters of admission and resignations to the Fund. Required deep knowledge of the Swedish Unemployment Insurance System, integrity and efficiency.

- Assisted in research and provided background material for the Mid-term Review (MTR) of the Almaty Programme of Action - addressing the needs of Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs).- Research focused on socio-economic development trends, external trade, transit arrangements, regional cooperation, international support and assistance extended to LLDCs, as well as regional research and preparations for the African, Asian and Latin American regional meetings as part of the MTR.

- Involved in the preparatory work and running of multi-stakeholder forums on increased public investment in the educational sector during the presidential elections campaign in Guatemala, in September 2007.- Wrote one project evaluation and one organisational diagnostics report as part of academic tasks delivered to AED and Lund University.

- Coordinated events within a Micro-enterprise project for marginalised urban women - Developed project proposals delivered to the Headquarter, Kansas City, United States.

- Assisted in the development of assessment reports related to the Ecuadorian government's role to respect, protect and fulfil the universal rights of the child. - Assisted in the planning and coordination of workshops, targeting young students in Quito, with the purpose of advocating human rights issues.
