During the years I have gained a broad experience of pharmaceutical research. Practical organic synthesis has been in focus in my employments as Organic and Medicinal Chemist, but the work has also included design and optimization of drug candidates for properties such as stability, metabolism, exposure and structure-activity parameters. From 2011- 2016, structural chemistry, result evaluation, patenting and cooperation with CRO/external researcher became a larger part of the daily work. In 2016 I began working with development, qualification and up-scale of chemical and biological processes. As the leader of a project that currently is in the process of applying for approval of a new drug, I am responsible for finalizing validation and control strategy documents as well as to initiate the first commercial production. 2006 I took the initiative to apply for an industrial PhD grant. My project proposal aimed at finding a potent and selective small molecular inhibitor of an essential enzyme of the malaria parasite and was granted 2007. I got my degree as PhD within organic/medicinal chemistry 2011 and the education was focused on organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, physical chemistry and modern technics to identify new candidate drugs such as fragment screening, structure-based drug design and protein crystallography.2004-2007 I worked as analytical chemist and formulation engineer. This work involved, among other things, development of methods and analysis of radiolabeled compounds by HPLC, content determinations, drug formulations, stability studies of compound and formulation, formulation development and GLP/GMP work.I enjoy working within research and/or development where my knowledge in organic and medicinal chemistry makes a difference. I am responsible and engaged and love to work in an innovative environment!
