Analysis and test plans for the control surface mechanisms on various aircraft platforms

Following SAE-ARP 4761, SAE-ARP 4754, & STANAG 4671, I conduct System Safety Analyses for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) and Ground Control Stations (GCS) to systematically find and address potential hazards within the systems.

- Design sheet metal transition panels in SolidWorks to guide the flow of material between conveyors- Create subassemblies, and top-level assemblies of the transitions with standard hardware- Consider manufacturability, transport, and installation when designing assemblies and weldments - Produce top-level assembly drawings with BOM, and part drawings with corresponding stock material, and operation for manufacturing or installation- Follow company standardized part numbering, and nomenclature- Use SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) for file sharing, and workflow management- Report to Project Engineer to ensure designs meet company standards and expectations.

Provide technical and general department support by means of installation, and configuration of new software programs. Respond to various systems-related requests such as resolving issues related to email, network outages, and inaccessible share folders.

The goal of buildIT is to provide students with access to emerging technologies such as 3D printers and virtual reality - Assisted/Advised students on 3D printing of submitted parts.- Managed Queue of incoming submissions for 3D printed parts. - Advised students on various ways to accomplish engineering projects with equipment present in the space.- Staffed front desk to answer general inquiries in person or via telephone and provide friendly customer service. - Simplified complicated technology for students to then experience and operate.

-Lived/Worked with 30+ first year undergraduates from diverse backgrounds to build success plan (including class registration, time management, and campus resource guide) for every individual.-Held 1-on-1 meetings with freshmen to track academic performance and give appropriate guidance during transition to college setting.-Planned, implemented, and promoted academic-related programs in residence halls as well as prepared monthly academically oriented bulletin boards.

Designed and built an electric formula one car using standard engineering principles in a multidisciplinary teamenvironment.- Experience designing parts to specified constraints such as weight, strength and safety factor.- Created presentations for design reviews (PDR/CDR/MDR).- Used SolidWorks (CAD) to design various vehicle components such as the steering wheel,packaging of steering wheel display, and motor controller mount with appropriate fasteners.- Applied Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS to verify that my designs met the minimumfactor of safety of 1.5 to optimize parts.- Manufactured various parts using tools such as a waterjet, and manual mill and lathe.
