Als onderzoeker bij Citisens onderzoek ik opvattingen van inwoners over maatschappelijke thema’s. En verzorg ik trainingen over de Citisens betrokkenheidsprofielen; een segmentatiemodel dat 8 typen inwoners onderscheidt in hun betrokkenheid, vertrouwen en communicatie- en participatievoorkeuren. Zo vertaal ik samen met het Citisens team data naar direct inzicht met concrete handvatten voor maatschappelijke opdrachtgevers. Daarnaast stel ik als kwaliteitsborger kwantitatief onderzoek steeds de vraag “waarom doen we dit en wat kan er nog beter?”.

News media report about cancer screening programs. People talk about screening on social media. How does this affect the public perception of the benefits and harms of cancer screening? Does this differ for different network structures? And which social media strategies be developed to enhance informed decision making related to cancer screening? In the "SENTENCES" research project, I investigate how news media, social media and public perception of cancer screening are related.
