About Inge Wiersema, Pe, Env Sp

Ms. Wiersema is very passionate about providing strategic water management solutions that involve the entire water cycle. She brings 25-years of water system planning experience in water resources studies, utility master planning for water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater systems. As Water Resources Practice Lead, Ms. Wiersema leads a national team of senior water resources professionals across the US. The practice covers strategic water supply planning, stormwater, climate change & resiliency, and One Water solutions.These One Water solutions that help manage finite water resources in a sustainable manner, increasing long-term reliability, while meeting both community and ecosystem needs. As Carollo's first National One Water Director, Inge is responsible for the business development, project delivery, and expansion of regional One Water teams.Ms. Wiersema was the Project Manager for the One Water LA 2040 Plan and managed a team of more than 20 subconsultants while collaborating with both the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation and the Los Angeles Department of Water & Power. The project was the first One Water Plan completed of major scale and magnitude in the U.S.Since the completion of the One Water LA 2040 Plan, Ms. Wiersema has continued her work with other utilities across the U.S., implementing the One Water approach to help create more water resilient and holistic water management strategies, through active engagement of stakeholders and communities. Ms. Wiersema also brings extensive stakeholder and community engagement experience as has worked with a variety of advisory groups, steering committees, and public engagement formats to develop plans that reflect a wide range of viewpoints and interests. Other areas of expertise include: hydraulic modeling, watershed management plans, groundwater management studies, capital improvement planning, as well as, preliminary design of pipelines, pump stations, and water treatment plants.
