Chef Biomedical Engineer, Project Manager
CurrentOngoing Project : Wewak, East Sepik Province, Papua New GuineaSite Activities:- Review and correct construction and architectural DWGs.- Ensure compliance with standards for medical gases, equipment, and installations.- Prevent errors to ensure timely, high-quality progress.- Plan and oversee hospital equipment installation, ensuring quality control.- Manage installation of critical systems and related equipment including air handling units, oxygen plants, medical gas supplies, nurse call systems, water supplies, CT scanners, fluoroscopy and X- ray systems, surgical and dental equipment, ophthalmology OT, and related furniture and equipment.- Assist with civil, mechanical, and electrical installations on-site.Logistics Management:- Oversee container logistics for timely delivery.- Ensure safe unloading and transport of equipment.Training:- Lead biomedical engineers in training hospital staff on medical equipment.- Develop workflow plans to optimise facility use.- Train local non-medical staff and biomedical students.Implementation Support:- Assist in implementing new medical standards and workflows.Communication:- Facilitate communication with clients, end-users, suppliers, subcontractors, and governments.- Present project progress and explore new opportunities.Procurement Support:- Clarify equipment specifications and support procurement activities.Maintenance:- Lead the maintenance team to uphold equipment standards.- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for vital functions.- Manage documentation for compliance with international standards.Financing:- Plan and monitor the maintenance budget for cost-efficiency and high standards.Team Leadership:-Lead and manage an international, multicultural team to foster collaboration and productivity.
