Today we are faced with huge challenges on climate, citizens trust, security, financial stability, mobility, health, etc. Governments are being challenged to solve these problems and come up with new policies. To be able to implement a transparent government policy it is important that the preparation takes place in consultation with citizens, companies, organizations. They must be given the opportunity to present their insights and wishes.The research that I work on, plays an important role both in the preparation and in the evaluation of government policy. Opinion polling or public support surveys are often used for agenda setting or policy preparation. Records of behavior can be used to measure the effects of policy.
