Game Makers Iceland is a volunteer-driven community organization dedicated to nurturing a diverse and vibrant game development scene in Iceland. We achieve this mission by creating a platform for people from all over the industry and its surrounding community to connect and collaborate.

- Responsible for multiple areas of gameplay and tooling code in both C++ and Blueprint- Organizer for my feature team, assisting the team in breaking down and scoping projects, as well as reporting on team status to the production team

Served as a bridge between clients and development teams, making sure that product vision, goals and priorities were clear and aligned between all parties. - Responsible for people management of all members of my teams(Engineering, Design, and QA), coaching the team and individuals to be the best they could be. - Helped my teams release valuable features for our clients in the areas of payment processing, customer self service, dev ops infrastructure, and fixed-price marketplace.- Took teams on mid-stream and also from inception, assisting them in shaping their processes to achieve excellence in their work.- Took part in organizational change, growing Gangverk's client portfolio while at the same time prioritizing good teamwork and happy people.

Worked for two years on a new project with a small team of excellent developers. Was at first focused on rapid prototyping in Unreal Engine 4 using Blueprints exclusively, but later moved onto working in C++ in an Entity Component System architecture using a brokered event system for cross system communication and networking. I also worked alongside our UI/UX designer in creating the HUD for our game using HTML and Vue JS. Benefited greatly from excellent mentorship from my lead, as well as being solely responsible for big parts of the gameplay logic. During my time on the project I was also heavily involved in game design discussions and new IP creation.Afterwards I worked on a team specializing in live events for EVE Online, mostly working in backend maintenance and adding features to existing gameplay systems, with most of my work being done in Python. I worked very closely with designers to add functionality to our systems and tools to aid their workflow. Along with this comes the experience of working on a live product, where my team released updates often to be monitored and maintained in a live environment.
