After a short career as a British Army Officer, I have recently transitioned from military service following an injury that, while insignificant in civilian life, has rendered me ineligible for further deployment. Now, with a wealth of experience and expertise developed in the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, and as an officer with the Queen’s Gurkha Signals, I am looking to apply those skills to a civilian environment. During my time in the army, I developed a capability and confidence in high-pressure decision-making, problem-solving, and team leadership and built a range of leadership and management skills in rapidly evolving, complex and sensitive situations. While my injury has meant an early conclusion to my military service, I see this as an opportunity to bring the knowledge and skills I’ve gained in the army to a new context. The military has developed my ability to think on my feet, handle complexity, and work with diverse teams in challenging conditions. I’m excited to translate that experience into the civilian world, where I believe I have a lot to offer.
