Directed the activities of the Simulation Center. Lecturer in hospital disaster preparedness and teaching methodologies in disaster education at the European Master in Disaster Medicine.Key achievements:more than 70 master students successfully trained;high appreciation of the topics and the teaching methods by the students.

Conducted, in collaboration of the Region of Como through its development cooperation (Associacione Comasca), training courses to build capacity within medical staff in the Southern Province in the main areas of emergency medicine and pre-hospital management of major events.Key achievements:45 hospital health providers successfully trained;support the first phase of the set up of fully fledged pre-hospital emergency care system in the Galle district involving all relevant national and provincial institutions and authorities.

Assessed emergency medical systems and developed sustainable reform strategy in different countries (Albania, Macedonia, Romania, Kyrgyzstan).Collaborated in the EU DG SANCO project "Assessment of emergency medical services preparedness in the framework of national crisis management structures in EU member states" Key achievements:proposed strategy reform in Albania was approved by the national Emergency board of the Ministry of Health;EMS assessment report was finalized and distributed to the EU member states..

Managed the coordination of working groups appointed by the Ministry of Health to develop conceptual reform of Emergency Medical Services.Liaised on regular basis with health authorities in charge of emergency activities, and cooperated with involved government departments and ministries.Developed educational plan for training in emergency medicine and disaster response at national level.Key achievements:strategy reform was presented in a National Conference.
