Liaison Officer
Current-Engage and support second-largest asylum-seeker population in the U.K.-Administer Hounslow’s relationship with 2 Home Office asylum hotels, including 450 - 500 guests.-Collaborate with Home Office, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG), and third-sector organisations, ensuring synchronised approach to supporting and administering migrant programs across Hounslow.-Serve as first point of contact with Hounslow for cohort served and key stakeholders in services.-Lead on all aspects of national Homes for Ukraine scheme in Chiswick and Brentford wards, managing caseload of 25 to 30 households, including resident hosts and refugee guests.-Ensure service delivery and national policy standards are met or exceeded, protecting tariff grants, whilst reducing fraud and safeguarding risks.-Promote innovative ways to address local challenges, understanding service user needs and designing generalised and individual support plans ensuring services are accessible and meet needs of service users and local community.-Liaise with other internal service teams to promote community integration, and to develop and expand services.-Investigate and recommend solutions to safeguarding issues, including mental health and domestic violence.-Run weekly 'drop-in' sessions for service users, providing direct assistance to service users.
