I specialize in wedding dresses and its accessories. I am the only set of hands, so planning and time allocation is of the essence. This would include all the admin from signing a client to the delivery, as well as budgeting, the sourcing of fabric and shops, purchasing fabrics, market research and social media posts. My highlights include: 1) my work showcased in Mooi Troues online Blog more than once, 2) one of my wedding dresses being showcased in the bridal magazine, Wedding Guide 2022 edition, and 3) being interviewed by Mooi Troues in 2023.

Were responsible for meeting with client(s) in the retail chains to determine what fabric would be best suited for their upcoming lines. This was a combination of sourcing, researching and teamwork to narrow our search down to a group of selected fabrics. After that we had the challenge of getting into price (by working with the content, construction and weight of the fabric). When price is settled, the design phase begin for the printing/ dyeing which includes quick correspondence with the design teams to get CAD & Strike-offs approved. Through all this, thorough planning, time allocation and monitoring has to be done to ensure successful shipments. Administrative and negotiating skills is key in this industry, and I had great help from my assistant and mentors. Had great fun with the overseas mills. Truly a great job for me at the time, and my co-workers made it even better.
