About Ingrid Taylor

Driven by a belief that we have not yet lived up to the best version of what our community can be, I've focused my work on people and organizations that strive to improve access, equity and collaboration, particularly in the education and health sectors. For my most recent roles - Lead Grant Strategist, Community Benefit Director, and Chief Impact Officer - I was the first to serve in that capacity, evidence of my ability to thrive in new, dynamic and challenging environments. While having the privilege to serve in these and other leadership roles, I know that driving change and improving social conditions is always and only the result of collaborative efforts. Having been elected trustee to the Austin school board, served on local non-profit boards (including University High School, Ballet Austin, and St. Stephen's Episcopal School) and volunteered in other organizations, I am vested in making our community the best it can be.My journey with Grupo Compadres (an Austin/Oaxaca-based women-owned spirit company) has helped me practice entrepreneurship in a new and different way. We successfully developed the product concept, created the brand story and executed the business plan. Today, our award-winning SUSTO Mezcal is sold in restaurants and retail stores across Texas.
