Based from both Glasgow and Brussels the purpose of this secondment was to lead on Scotland Europa's EU regional policy portfolio and help support the development of strategic EU projects. As a consequence of this secondment it enabled both teams to better understand the virtuous cycle between policy and projects, by heightening the teams' awareness of the benefit of policy knowledge to be more effective in EU funding.
