I have joined the World Future Council Foundation in 2010. Having worked in the NGO and foundations’ sector for more than a decade, I have acquired a broad range of skills that include project management, policy research, supervising staff and team-building, budget and event management, media and communications, publishing, development of multi-stakeholder partnerships, networking, advocacy, fundraising and much more. Currently I am managing the Himalayan Agroecology Initiative, which - in partnership with IFOAM - Organics International and in close cooperation with Alliance Bioversity International-CIAT, UNDP India, LI-BIRD and Tarayana Foundation - focuses on how to strengthen policy environments in Bhutan, India and Nepal so that they scale up agroecology and enable sustainable food systems more effectively.

Until June 2022 I was the Project Manager of the Future Policy Award, which highlights exemplary laws and policies in order to speed up policy action by governments. In 2021, the Future Policy Award highlighted policies protecting people and the environment from hazardous chemicals. I started this position in 2017, when the Award celebrated exemplary laws and policies that effectively address land degradation, in partnership with the UN Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD); in 2018, the prize highlighted policies scaling up agroecology, in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) and IFOAM – Organics International; and in 2019 it awarded laws empowering youth, in partnership with the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). Previously, I coordinated our Geneva Liaison Office and led the policy research and conference organisation of the Zero Project, a global initiative to implement the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Before joining the World Future Council, I worked at the UNESCO Chair for Religious Pluralism and Peace in Bologna, Italy, and collaborated with the late Professor Pier Cesare Bori, Chair of Human Rights and Moral Philosophy of the University of Bologna. I hold a Master’s Degree (with honours) in International Relations at Bologna University.
