From growing up in Timmins, a prospector’s daughter – to pursuing a career in law, assisting mining operations, explorers and prospectors – to leading Pelangio Exploration Inc. since 1996. I am a staunch advocate for the mining industry and have seen the impact exploration and mining have on local communities and individuals. From the 2,000 jobs Detour Lake Mine created to the accountant in Ghana who joined Pelangio as a young grad and is now invested in his daughter’s education. I currently serve as the CEO of Pelangio Exploration Inc. and as an independent director and advisor on numerous corporate boards and committees, including the Agnico Eagle advisory committee. At the end of the day, we’re searching for buried treasure.
