In my role as an Intern at CHIMEI, I utilized Power BI to enhance equipment management processes, reduce calibration risks, and optimize maintenance schedules. By analyzing instrument calibration, usage, and costs, I ensured data reliability and improved equipment efficiency.◆ Utilized Power BI to improve manual equipment management processes at RTI, addressing key challenges such as:· Reducing time spent searching through multiple Excel spreadsheets.· Enhancing visibility into instrument status and reducing the risk of missed calibrations.· Lowering personnel time costs and making calibration expenses easier to manage.· Developed Power BI dashboards to:· Shorten data analysis time by connecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, visualizing trends, and quickly identifying machine abnormalities.· Schedule timely maintenance and provide real-time insights into equipment usage and the need for calibration.· Integrate data from multiple sources, simplifying data management and reducing confusion caused by managing multiple spreadsheets.◆ Analyzed the following key areas using Power BI:· Instrument Calibration: Monitored calibration schedules, tracked and notified calibration deadlines, and ensured the reliability of testing data.· Instrument Usage: Observed instrument usage frequency, optimized equipment management processes, and prepared for spare parts requirements.· Calibration Costs: Tracked calibration expenses and monitored frequently used calibration vendors for better budget management.◆ Gained knowledge of LIMS operations, intelligent injection molding dispatch systems for optimizing personnel allocation and production tracking, and an introduction to physical property testing instruments
