Ingrid initially set out to be a Graphic Designer, studying in IADT. However, deciding on a career change, she studied fashion design part-time in the Grafton Academy. Ingrid started her buying career in Dunnes Stores, as a buying administrator, and worked her way up through the ranks, spending the greater part of her buying career as a buyer for A-Wear.There she bought outerwear and tailoring from all corners of the globe, and was also responsible for sourcing and managing the production of the Peter O'Brien range of garments.She went on to hold a buying position in Hickeys Fabrics, and also spent time in eBay as a retail consultant for medium sized fashion retailers.Using her very thorough and detailed understanding of the buying role and the retail market, she has written and delivered a buying course in Dublin Institute of Design.Currently employed at a menswear agency, Threadweave, working with leading European menswear brands. She has played an integral role in the launch and success of own label brand Kempt.
