Founded ThinkNiti Research as an independent non-profit, non-governmental organization with the objective of redefining the way in which laws and policies are drafted in India.- Worked with the World Health Organization (“WHO”) since 2017 and leading their Legal Development Programme (“LDP”) on road safety in India as the Project Head:- Worked with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), and drafted policy papers for the MoRTH- Worked with the Global Health Advocacy Incubator (“GHAI”) and Global Road Safety Partnership (“GRSP”) and prepared a report on the Motor Vehicle Amendment Act 2019 highlighting areas that require policy interventions. Also, submitted a separate report on the five risk factors related to road safety in India;- Conducted Good Samaritan Law training in association with Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety and closely worked with top road safety NGOs for better implementation of road safety laws in India.- Worked with the Government of Punjab (through Punjab Police) on various road safety and transport laws. Advised them on criminal sanctions against contractors for designing substandard roads, introducing road safety curriculum in schools, the release of vehicles involved in crashes, fines and penalties under the Motor Vehicle Act 2019, etc.- Prepared a comprehensive training module for the officers of the Punjab Police and are in the process of preparing training videos for them and creating a digital library;- Worked with Telangana Government and submitted report on the Draft Telangana Road Safety Authority Bill.
