My latest project has been a small research on graduates from foreign universities and their placement in Finnish working life. The amount of students studying abroad is rising every year. 2015 the figure was already at 8000 students. The problems these students/graduates are facing when returning to Finland are lack of networks and work experience in local companies. However still many companies require university's financial aid in order to hire paid interns. This means graduates from foreign universities cannot apply for these positions. without any work experience from relevant field finding a job in the current job market is very challenging. There's so much talk about internationalism and cross-cultural work but structural challenges stand in the way. I have interviewed the research team of Kela ( independent social insurance institution supervised by Parliament), Ministry of foreign affairs and sociology, anthropology and teaching professors in different universities in Finland. The in-depth interviews include 15 Finnish citizens graduated from foreign universities. I want to show with my study that Finland looses many talented multilingual individuals when preferring students from local universities and not making the effort to hire graduates from foreign universities. There is brain leakage and I want to add my input to the still slow conversation about the matter.

Working in a refugee center as a volunteer case manager. This job included evaluating 5-10 clients and assisting them in the application process to different institutes and universities.

A bachelor's thesis for the Center of International Relations of University Montpellier I. The aim of the thesis was to examine internal communication of the international coordinators in university's 8 faculties.

Working as receptionist in a busy summer hostel. The responsibilities included customer service in English, Swedish, Italian, Finnish, and French and internal and external communication by e-mail and phone. The duties included also handling reservations, accounting and night shift duties.

The duties as a reception duty manager included customer service, training new staff, supervising and being responsible for the sale during the shift. The job included also internal and external communication by phone and e-mail.

Working in a busy restaurant behind the bar. I spent 8 months in New Zealand on Working Holiday visa. I was working two jobs 7 days a week for four months to be able to buy tickets back home. On way back I did spent however 3 months and worked in a bar in Tel Aviv, Israel, too. I spent in total 2 years abroad. This trip had a massive impact on me. I was able to learn small talk, gained confidence, grew up and got life-lasting memories!
