This is an UNPAID, VOLUNTARY role.The WGV Holding Company manages a small strata title in the hills of Willunga, South Australia. The company is run by a board of directors, made up of residents on a voluntary basis. As a resident I was interested in participating as it seemed like a good opportunity to learn and extend myself. I took the role of Treasurer as I have recently had an interest in money management and book-keeping.

At the Willunga Farmers Market I work with the stallholders and the market to help set up and pack up every Saturday. I also work at the information stall selling memberships to the market and answering general question anyone might have. The community there is fantastic and I am always looking forward to work there. So far I have become better at interacting with people professionally and customer service.

After completing my university Work Integrated Learning placement through Flinders University with Head Full of Heart I gained paid employment with them. While I finished Honours at university this was parttime employment at 2 days a week. While working here I have learnt many invaluable lessons and extended my knowledge of software development more than I ever believed I could.

Throughout university I had casual employment with Taronga Orchard selling almonds and the Adelaide Showgrounds Farmers Market, and occasionally the Willunga Farmers Market. It was a great opportunity to grow and become more confident interacting with strangers.

Working on Wirrealpa Station was a fantastic learning experience. While working there I participated in all practical aspects of daily operations. Mustering stock, fencing, yard work and other general maintenance. This gained me a huge amount of practical knowledge and problem solving skills. It also taught me more about my limits and capabilities under pressure.
