Inner Body Data™ - Self-Empowered Healthcare, combines Chinese Medicine healing modalities & embodied patient education. Modalities include acupuncture, trigger point / dry needling, cupping, guaSha, microneedling, herbal medicine, supplement & dietary recommendations, and instruction in yoga, qigong, dance, and meditation. Inner Body Data™ has two main aims: 1- Combine observational diagnostic tools of Traditional Chinese Medicine with somatic movement meditation techniques and modern scientific research in order to create Preventative Medicine educational programs that incorporate personalized “inner body awareness” routines.2- There are “inner technologies” of awareness and alchemy that can be married with and used for the creation of outer technologies. Certified Universal Healing Tao Qigong Instructor (Grandmaster Mantak Chia) and Healing Tao USA Qigong Instructor (Michael Winn). I began the practice of Qigong in 2010 after studying abroad in Hong Kong. I have also studied extensively with Master Robert Peng, Minke DeVos (Taoist Tantra for Women’s Healing), and Dr. LiPing Zhu. My instruction of qigong is also influenced by my practice of Gaga Dance (Ohad Naharin) and Vajrayana Buddhism. I utilize qigong as a form of patient education and self-healing practices, both in person and online. I observed massage therapist and Toxicologist Kevin Powell perform "Acutonics" treatments. This involves the use of specifically designed tuning forks which are placed on "acupoints" (myofascial release points) on the body. The resonance of these varying frequencies help release both physical and emotional pain in clients. I gained a deeper awareness of how the body holds tension and how to help release it.

CES is an organization promoting sustainability awareness on both a practical and a philosophical level. The term "Ecozoic" refers to a period during which the relationship between humans and Earth becomes more symbiotic. I helped write a review of three books by author Thomas Berry, philosopher, environmentalist, theologian, and scholar. In it I discussed the practical reasons for "paying attention" to the environment, especially in relation to our career choice, emotional well-being, and interconnection with others. I spoke at the 2014 Thomas Berry Colloqium held at UNC-Chapel Hill, which gathered a number of scholars who discussed a wide range of ecological topics. I value the role CES plays in reminding us of the power of nature in order to decrease stress and increase quality of life.

After completion of my first Yoga teacher training at age 19, I began teaching in 2009 at Open Door Yoga in Raleigh during my undergraduate education at UNC-Chapel Hill. I have continued to teach yoga throughout my graduate school and professional years in various forms and locations. I experience yoga as one of the best forms of self-healing and the development of self-awareness.
