Netball South Africa is the peak governing body for the sport of netball in South Africa.Provided comprehensive performance leadership and strategic guidance across the organisation daily. The role involved aligning operational plans and performance programmes while integrating globally recognised high-performance practices into the South African context across all elements of High Performance (HP). Collaborating closely with the CEO, President, NSA Board, and national team management, specifically directed efforts toward preparing the SPAR Proteas for the Netball World Cup 2023 in South Africa.Deliverablesโข Develop and implement strategic performance enhancement plans aligned with the organisation's goals.โข Establish and oversee a framework that integrates best practices in high-performance sports, tailored to the specific needs of netball athletes.โข Implement programmes for identifying and nurturing talent at grassroots levels, ensuring a pipeline of skilled players.โข Design and manage player development programmes, focusing on skill enhancement, fitness, and mental conditioning. โข Facilitate training and development programmes for coaches and support staff to enhance their capabilities.โข Utilise data analytics and performance metrics to assess player and team performance.โข Coordinate and lead preparations for national teams participating in global competitions, ensuring readiness.โข Foster collaborations with stakeholders, including coaches, players, sports scientists, and administrative bodies, to drive a cohesive high-performance strategy.โข Manage budgets and resources effectively to support high-performance programs while ensuring cost efficiency.โข Ensure adherence to ethical standards and regulatory guidelines in all high-performance initiatives and activities.
