Act as a site responsible person (focal point) for all technical issues relating to lifting operations.Developing and maintaining heavy lift procedures, standard operating procedures. Monitor and supervise all lifting operations including heavy lifts operations at the TOTAL Quayside. Promote safe handling and lifting operation referring to TOTAL HSE policy and international standard.Perform conditional check and fitness for purpose on lifting appliances and evaluate their utilization on site in co-ordination with inspection departments.Perform compliance checks on all third party contractors’ equipment before they are loaded to TOTAL offshore locations.Implementing and enforcing TOTAL company rules and procedures at the quayside.Providing logistics and technical support to personnel at the Onne quayside. Follow–up the inspections performed by the approved third-party certifying companies, follow-up their jobs and facilitates their activities to meet up loading onto the vessels.Supervise all lifting operations at the Onne quayside in conformity to company’s policies and procedures.Ensuring strict compliance of the six monthly colour coding campaign.Work and supervise all cargo operations in compliance with UKOOA (Guidelines for the Safe Packaging and handling) of cargoes to and from offshore locations.Documentation of all third party’s inspection reports.Ensuring that all dangerous goods are loaded and offloaded along with proper documentations.Ensuring that all explosive cargoes and radioactive sources are in compliance with the directives of the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA).Issue a weekly report including all the highlights of the week anomalies and no conformance reports.
