Conceived, designed, and delivered a sensor based remote solution using proprietary software and algorithms that processed information from over 100 locations via the cellular network. This solution utilized sophisticated sensor technology, processed the information to provide customer solutions based on proprietary algorithms and allowed both real time and historic analysis and trending by the customer via web based access. As an innovative solution at the time, the company was profitable in 18 months. Primary market was in service to Ranches and Vineyards in the Central Valley of CA and the Yuma Valley in AZ.

Recruited as the CTO for the development stage company to lead the design, development and production of advanced networking equipment for the data center market. Requested by the board to also assume the CEO role after 6 months. Made many VC presentations and acquired bridge funding that key the company going through much of the dot.com downturn. eventually had to close down due to lack of funds to ramp manufacturing and expand sales, but successfully developed and deployed the product to several Beta customers.

Stabilized and corrected customer/ field issues across organization boundaries and implemented new product development and test processes to prevent recurrence. Developed product prioritization across marketing/product management, finance, manufacturing, and sales with development resources and schedules. This effort improved the accuracy of revenue projections based on new product and feature enhancement contribution.In the CTO/VP role, I was accountable for P&L of a $50 M advanced digital transport product (IP switching/routing ) line acquired through OEM agreement, and for definition of ADC’s next generation end-to-end transport network solution strategy.Lead in several due diligence efforts for M&A activity, participant at Presidents Technology Council, Invited Speaker at International Sales Meeting, participant in ADC corporate strategy meeting. Presenter to President’s staff on quarterly business reviews ( P&L summary) and product strategy.

Hired as Director and promoted to VP Engineering as a direct report to Mr. Cray after one year. I lead the development of several key and patented technologies in IC's, computer OS, application software design, and manufacturing process. Leader and manager of over 300 business and technical personnel.
