Triathlon Victoria is the State Sporting Organisation governing and strengthening the sport of Triathlon. My role has a specific focus on best practice governance and club engagement to ensure the sustainability of our sport.

Objective: To plan recreational facilities and playgrounds to provide the community with active spaces to achieve their health and wellbeing objectives.Key Areas of Responsibility:• Develop policies that increase participation and gender equity in community sports clubs.• Author sport specific strategies to strengthen individual sports in Bayside.• Deliver the Playground Improvement Plan by facilitating the design and construction of playgrounds. • Facilitate the design and construction of recreational assets including pavilions and playing surfaces.• Liaise with State and National Sports Organisations.

Leading club engagement to increase participation, fit for purpose pavilion design and club capacity by authoring the Growth in Tennis Strategy, Seasonal Allocations Policy and Fees and Charges Policy.

Objective: Leading the Economic Development unit to deliver the vision of Council by supporting businesses to grow the local economy, attracting investment and facilitating employment opportunities for the local community.Major Achievements:• Authored the Moonee Valley Economic Development Strategy 2014 to provide leadership and a vision for economic growth. • Project managed and authored a cross-Council review of the Footpath Trading Policy to reduce ‘red tape’ for businesses.• Fostered relationships with Trader Associations to deliver several Special Rate and Charge Schemes to empower them to market the municipal shopping precincts.• Developed and delivered a program of major events to foster business growth and networking. • Delivered several place based activations to improve the presentation of the urban realm. • Championed the Essendon Fields Employment Precinct resulting in a Ministerial announcement to achieve that vision.

Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is a not for profit dedicated to providing the knowledge and networks to empower the Australasian sport industry to become environmental stewards. The organisations foundation members include: the Melbourne Cricket Club/Melbourne Cricket Ground, Greater Western Sydney Giants FC, Netball Australia, Tennis Australia, Cricket Australia, Australian Football League, Golf Australia, SACA and Victoria Racing Club.

Objective: The position had the lead role in promoting Frankston City as the preferred place in which to live, learn, work, visit and invest.Major Achievements:• Developed an Investment Attraction Action Plan and begun its execution.• Established the ‘My City is My Business’ local procurement program.• Established the ‘Renew Frankston’ street activation program.• Represented Frankston City Council on the Victorian Governments Super Trade Mission to China.• Developed marketing collateral for potential developments including Frankston Safe Boat Harbor prospectus to be sold internationally.• Facilitated the attraction of domestic and international companies to Frankston.

Objective: The role managed all Council owned commercial assets. Developing projects for the 10-year capital works plan to improve the standard of community sport and recreation assets. Major Achievements:• Rebuilt relationships with committees of management.• Project managed the capital investment in service upgrades to Bright and Myrtleford Holiday Parks to provide additional powered sites increasing profits and mitigating risk to visitors.• Delivered over $250,000 in infrastructure renewals to recreation and commercial assets annually. Major Achievements:- Rebuilt relationships with committees of management by providing template framework to support their endeavours that will be rolled out to all Council’s committees.- Project managed the services upgrade to Bright and Myrtleford Holiday Parks to increase number of powered sites increasing profits and reducing risk to visitors.- Delivered $250,000 in infrastructure renewals to recreation and commercial assets.

Objective: Leading the Department of three remote sites integrating staff and volunteers to provide a return on investment for Council while maintaining high levels of professional service to visitors in the Visitor Information Centres. Major Achievements:• Wrote award-winning submission in the 2011 RACV Victorian Tourism Awards. “Outstanding contribution by volunteers” category.• Delivered the $600,000 ICT project, ‘Alpine Explorer’ which is an interactive itinerary planner to increase visitor yield and length of stay.• Re-designed the Alpine VIC – Bright increasing sales, profitability and customer service standards.• Developed the Business Plan including a buy local program “Taste Alpine” and attracted external funding to deliver the strategy.

Owner and manager of Bright and Traralgon FoodWorks, licensed grocers with the strategy to purchase underperforming stores remodel and resell. Major Achievements:• Re-defined the organisational culture to a level of professionalism and high-level customer service this was achieved by coaching, training and empowerment of staff.Traralgon Foodworks• Increased the sales figures by 5% in 2005, 14% in 2006 and tracking at 23% in 2007 over previous year.• Increased the store profitability by 9% in 2005, 13% in 2006 and currently at 19% in 2007 over previous year.Bright Foodworks• Increased sales figures by 45% in 2007 and 15% in 2008.• Increased the store profitability by 41% in 2007 and 12% in 2008.

Objective: The position had full responsibility for the planning, budgeting and sales execution of the territory to achieve sustainable volume growth and increasing the brands presence in the region. Major Achievements:• Increased sales volume by 35% in 2002, 43% in 2003 and 47% in 2004 upon previous years, through the analysis, interpretation and exploration of niche and other mainstream market opportunities. • Runner-up in a state sales incentive aimed at increasing Hahn Premium Light tap distributions with 19 new tap points achieved in 2 months.• Increased tap point distributions by 45% including contract negotiation of several key venue contracts.

Objective: A field sales position based in several different territories within the Gippsland region, the role was tasked with the responsibility to improve underperforming territories, increase sales volumes and develop long-term sustainable customer relationships. Major Achievements:• Won 2 new product penetration state incentives.• Managed key regional petroleum multi-site accounts increasing sales on average by 25%. • Member of winning state volume incentive team. “September challenge” 2001.
