From the very beginning of the setup of the local company, hiring the local team and project management.I visited the main countries in the region to prospect partners to jointly develop mobile games for the local market. I negotiated the terms for the co-development and obtained the approval to finance them. After approval, each project was managed by a mix of the local staff, members in Japan and the development studio in a Latin American country. Only the projects that cleared the company quality standards were released. At the same time we helped the PR efforts for the titles released in the region (Tomb Raider and Lightning Returns FFXIII) . As well as helping with language QA for Japanese titles such as Final Fantasy, which was released in Brazilian Portuguese for the first time. Before settling in Mexico I worked at SQUARE ENIX in Tokyo (2011 Sep ~ 2012 Sep) in charge of the feasibility study of the expansion. The size of the game market and future growth prospect, gaming habits, popular genres and titles, competitors lineup, popularity of the company's titles, success cases of locally developed titles and trends in entertainment of the region were thoroughly researched. We studied the local reality such as hardware, connectivity, payment methods to find out their effects in the expansion plan and product development. The state of the local game development was also studied to find about publishers, business models, development workforce, related courses, most used tools and programming languages were also within the scope of the research. Finally the business environment of the main countries (Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Chile) was studied to decide where to set the local company. All this information was condensed into an expansion plan, which was presented to the company's executives. After the approval, I was then in charge of the execution Show less -
