Throughout my career, I have worked tirelessly to improve employer-union relations and create a collaborative work environment. As president of a union, I have negotiated settlements that have met the needs of both parties, and I have been able to find creative solutions to complex problems while advocating for the rights and needs of my members. I understand the importance of building relationships and trust between labor and management, and I have a proven track record of tactfully and respectfully doing so in a complex and sometimes delicate political environment.In addition to my experience in labor relations, I have developed a diverse set of skills in my roles as grievance officer and professional issues officer. I am highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. I have experience managing budgets, conducting research, analyzing information, and preparing reports and presentations. I am also an effective communicator and collaborator, able to work closely with team members at all levels of the organization.I have utilized a wide range of skills in negotiations, grievance procedures, and member advocacy. I have been responsible for analyzing complex information, developing strategies, and effectively communicating with all stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes. I have also been successful in building strong relationships with union members, management and stakeholders to effectively address concerns and promote a positive work environment that advances the Board’s strategic plan.
