To lead the strategic & operational direction, priorities and resources required to deliver an Adult and Health and Social workforce that is capable, compliant, has sufficient capacity and fit for future purpose and to ensure high quality, safe services are delivered to people in Hertfordshire.To ensure the strategic elements are in place to develop a centre of excellence to improve the performance, capacity and capability of this diverse and complex workforce and ensure that the council has high quality and cost effective learning strategies, policies, programmes and interventions in place.To develop and manage strategic and operational robust collaborative partnerships and Service Level Agreements with Key stakeholders and partners to ensure HCC have high levels of engagement and influence in shaping the workforce.To support the short and long term strategic direction of the service to engage and develop the workforce within HCC and those within our partners in health and the Private, Voluntary & Independent sector. This includes development of the social care L&D initiatives & programmes, project management, ensuring the alignment of OD within the Strategies, Social Care/Health integration, and the adult social care outcomes framework, to develop and devise development interventions in collaboration with partners both regionally and nationally.
