Field Operations Manager | Facility Manager
CurrentWestinghouse Electric Company’s Specialty Welding & Machining Group is a project-based organization that makes field repairs to nuclear power stations. The Manager, Field Service Operations is located in Manning, SC and manages our 24-acre site, 110,000 square foot headquarters facility, is responsible for all aspects of field service and project support including, manufacturing and assembly, logistics support, resource management and capital budgets. Manage equipment maintenance and facilities budgets. Implement integrated planning and logistics programs to support all projects. Assure timely and cost-effective transportation of equipment and personnel. Enhance training and maintenance practices to increase efficiencies and reduce costs. Establish business relationships with labor subcontract firms to support peak seasons with high-quality, cost-effective resources. Implement performance improvement and skills development processes for personnel, ensuring competitiveness. Oversee facility management, including maintenance, safety protocols, and budget planning. Promote a safety-first work environment. Provide machinists, electronic technicians, equipment, supplies, and personnel for various projects, both domestic and international. Collaborate with supply chain on vendor management. Plan, forecast, and manage multi-million-dollar training and maintenance budgets. Improve equipment and personnel performance. Participate in offer development and cost estimates. Recruit new talent for long-term business needs. Create logistics deployment plans for human and non-human resources.Develop and execute integrated resource plans for shop and field service personnel, equipment, and facilities. Optimize maintenance actions on field equipment to ensure startup and operational reliability. Define and manage investments in field and maintenance equipment and facilities to support program and project needs.
