About Lynne Iser

Lynne Iser is an activist committed to empowering those in the second half of life to use their resources and wisdom to create a world that is sustainable, just and fulfilling. She is the founder of Elder-Activists.org, an online community of individuals inspiring, educating and supporting each other to become activists – transmitting their wisdom and legacy to future generations. As an activist, she facilitates the Awakening the Dreamer symposium for The Pachamama Alliance, and leads the Philadelphia Pachamama community. She uses the work of Joanna Macy to encourage people to reframe their sense of where we are in the world, and to discover their power to create a healthier world. She was the founding Executive Director of the Spiritual Eldering Institute. In her work with Reb Zalman she learned about the opportunities and blessings of becoming an elder, developed much of the curriculum for the Seminar Leaders Training Program and published the Spiritual Eldering Workbook. She is currently a faculty member of the Aleph Sage-ing Mentorship Project. Her family was the subject of the international award winning video Praying With Lior; which has succeeded in changing the way people with disabilities are perceived and received by faith communities.
