Instructional Designer
Current• Perform functions to design and develop instructor-led classroom training and e-learning programs.• Integrate current and emerging technologies into training programs.• Work within instructional design standards (ADDIE) to initiate and create training programs suited to needs and expectations of internal and external customers.• Analyze needs and prepare and present learning objectives that meet defined requirements.• Consult with subject matter experts to determine specific content requirements and develop and design instructor-led, self-study, and online instructional content.• Provide consultative support to others in curriculum development, class design, and implementation of teaching and learning strategies and the use of technology related tools.• Develop task analyses, research content, collect and edit graphics, build graphic layouts, and navigation systems.• Initiate and coordinate the process of program development through all phases of design, implementation, and evaluation.• Create class materials for a multitude and diverse set of classes on Adobe, 3D design, Electronic engineering, programming, and sewing for children, teens, and adults.• Search for, evaluate, and implement new instructional resources including software, web sites, and distance learning opportunities.• Organize and develop workshops and train other staff in innovative technology methods.• Provide coaching to instructional staff regarding delivery techniques.• Use Adobe Captivate, Presenter, Connect, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, and synchronous educational tools for the design and development of training materials.• Author of seven successful Mayors Matching Grants in 2015 to 2023 including preparing all reports and budgets.• Plan and implement events for the Melrose Center and Technology and Education Center.• Presenter in 2023, 2021, and 2018 NEFLIN Conferences.• Presenter in 2023, 2018, 2017, 2015 FLA Conferences.
