Successfully spearheaded multiple complex brood programs with overlapping brood years (Early Stuart Sockeye, Pitt Sockeye, Cultus Sockeye) while ensuring biosecurity measures, strong fish culture practices, and diligent record-keeping was maintained. As the various sockeye stocks are high-profile conservation stocks, regular collaborative technical and strategic planning meetings with varying partners from different hatcheries, programs, organizations, and stakeholders were held to facilitate the logistics involved with each specific stock.

Was employed as a Student Fisheries Technician with Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) in the Sea Lamprey Control Centre division. Working within one of the Treatment Crews consisting of 17 members, we treat approximately 25 Great Lakes tributaries with lampricide (TFM; a pesticide used to selectively kill sea lamprey larvae without significantly harming other plants or animals, or having any long-term impacts on the ecosystem) to reduce and keep the invasive Sea Lamprey population at bay during the field season, many in remote locations.Responsibilities include:- Collecting water samples for analysis in mobile labs during lampricide treatments and assist with the recording of data generated from samples,- Assist with the set-up and operation of toxicity tests where required,- Operate, calibrate and maintain scientific instruments required to conduct water chemistries and stream discharge measurements,- Operate vehicles, boats, ATVs and other equipment with attention to safety, preservation, and energy conservation

As the SFU Environmental Science Student Union (EVSC-SU) co-chair, was responsible for representing and serving the members of the union while also liaising between union members and the university. Also responsible for proper management of union, coordination of events and ensuring that the any concerns from members of the EVSC-SU are properly addressed.

Worked as a student research assistant with the Economic Burden of Asthma (EBA) study in the Faculty of Respiratory Medicine. This EBA study focuses on finding the direct and indirect cost of asthma through questionnaires spanning throughout one year for each research subject. Responsibilities include scheduling and allocating visit times of research subjects, conducting Pre & Post Spirometry and Methacholine Inhalation Tests for research subjects as per study protocol, and handling clerical and administrative work such as filing, data entry, drafting, answering email, inquiries, making calls, passing on the messages, etc.

Weekly responsibilities include overlooking the training and administration aspect of the branch and taking command of ceremonial parades.Also worked as the Cadet Program Update (CPU)Training Chief aboard the summer training centre HMCS QUADRA in the summer of 2010. As the CPU training chief, was responsible in facilitating and integrating the four new Basic courses (Basic Music, Basic Seamanship, Basic Sail, Basic Leadership) and the General Training course by directing 20 staff cadets. In addition, ensured the training standard of the cadets were met by inquiring for direct feedback by the cadets and holding daily meetings with the staff cadets.
