I'm a freelance supervisor, trainer and psychotherapist. Currently I see clients and supervisees in private practice for Psychotherapy, Clinical Supervision and Group work. I provide training and consultancy on equality and diversity issues. I draw upon a number of ethical frameworks which enable me to practice intersectionally and with clients best interests at the heart of the work. Ethics, Integrity and Child Protection are key principles for me and I have worked for human rights causes all my working life ~ as a campaigner, a trainer and an organisational consultant. My psychotherapy practice is LGBTQIA and BAME affirmative.I've worked within the voluntary / charity sector for over 35 years, within schools with children and young people in a therapeutic context for over 18 years. I've saught out specific CPD in order to work effectively trans~culturally, cross culturally and inter-culturally as my professional training was silent on intersectional issues. Volunteering is important to me as a means of 'paying forward' into the society I live in - as such, I serve on the Leadership group of BAATN, and I am a Pink Therapy Clinical Associate. I volunteered as a therapist for a HIV / sexual health charity for many years, I offer low cost psychotherapy via the Free Psychotherapy Network. I've held many positions of responsibility within organisations up to senior managerial level, I've also served as a trustee on managerial boards of many charitable and campaigning organisations for the past 35+ years, including on a number of UKCP's Commitees to further Diversity, Equality and Inclusion for BAME and LGBTQIA clients.My superpower lies in enabling organisations and individuals to grasp the importance of offering services to clients within an equalities framework, and to assist bringing awareness and understanding of intersectionality of oppression to people and organisations willing to learn.Photo ~ With Thanks to Kim Cunningham www.kimcunningham.co.uk
