Your Big Year is a global competition which gives one winner the chance to win a year-long global ambassadorship with Smaller Earth. The winner visits six continents and volunteers on social impact projects. With tens of thousands of applications, only 16 were shortlisted and flown to the UK for the final weeklong selection process. My role was to manage the social pages throughout the event. I also assisted with the preparation and management of the week long activities for the finalists in both London and Liverpool. Highlights of Your Big Year 2 included the finalists meeting and interviewing entrepreneur, Richard Branson, and lastminute.com founder Martha Lane Fox. Finalists pitched ideas at the Global Entrepreneurship Congress and debated with Members of Parliament in the House of Commons.
