With over 25 years of experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, holding international roles in various levels of executive management, business development and fundraising, drug development & clinical operations, strategy and innovation, my career spans experience of working across companies from the smallest start-up ventures, through biotech and medical device companies to large Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and pharmaceutical companies. I have a truly international industry experience and a global network of medical, scientific and business contacts within pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, KOLs, academic centers, regulatory agencies, distributors, health insurance companies and financial institutions. In several companies, I have established legal entities in new or developed markets where there was no existing infrastructure and brought the companies into full operations and revenue generation. In December 2015, I received a US O-1 classification visa as an individual with extraordinary abilities and expertise in business and management, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry. I am a member of the executive management team of a US-based pharmaceutical company, Karyopharm Therapeutics as of October 2014, establishing the first ex-US subsidiary in Europe (Munich, Germany). Karyopharm Therapeutics Inc. is a commercial pharmaceutical company focused on discovery and development and subsequent commercialization of novel first-in-class drugs directed against nuclear transport and related targets for the treatment of cancer and other major diseases.
