I had the privilege of gaining invaluable on-site training in electrical and electronics engineering within the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) section of Link Engineering. This experience, a crucial part of my professional development, allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.

I was fortunate to finish the first three months of my industrial training with the Ceylon Electricity Board, the top monopoly energy provider in Sri Lanka, as part of my HND program. Learning about the entire architecture of Sri Lanka's electrical grid as well as the primary roles of the company—generation, transmission, distribution, and retailing—was an amazing experience. I had the chance to learn about the following topics: fundamental ideas, operational mechanisms, theoretical ideas in practice, and safety procedures in the following places.-The grid substations at Palekala and Killinochchi;. -The power stations at Samalawewa and Lakvijaya; -The area engineer office-Chunnakam. -The province contraction unit. -The distribution maintenance unit.
