Ultimately, the bid was awarded to the Division. This represented the first time in 20 years that the CBC had won a Government Host Broadcast. The CBC Mobile Productions division facilitated television production by ensuring that CBC/Radio-Canada programs had access to mobile-production equipment. The division generated revenues for investing in programming and equipment by selling excess capacity.
