During the 18-month graduate scheme I had 3 different rotations.AHL ResearchPython / Linux / SQL / Condor / linear regressionWorked in the electronic execution research team researching improvements to our execution algos by using new data. Went on to research new methods of forecasting slippage. These improvements were presented to the head of research and went on to be implemented.AHL TechnologistJava / Python / FIX protocol (quickfix/j) / logarithmic regressionWorked in the electronic execution development team. Varied work including development of an FX trading platform and prototyping a system to identify spikes in data.Following this rotation I was offered a full time position.Unix: core infrastructureRHEL / Bash / Python / SQL/ SSH / Linux administration / RPMsDuring this rotation I was based in Zurich working remotely with a team in London. We were responsible for supporting the entire Unix (RHEL) infrastructure (in excess of 500 servers). My responsibilities included general admin, support, scripting, building and testing RPMs, rolling out RPMs, building new servers and working closely with various business areas to assist with projects that needed infrastructure support.

Designed and developed an application which stored and displayed information on the system architecture.
