employed on a short term contract 3 days a week as part of the design team, employed to ensure that the transport for greater manchester’s (TfGM) strong consumer profile and their products are continually promoted and available through the use of graphic and digital design adhering to the strict corporate guidelines and branding.the job entails working with a varied client base, ensure marketing strategies are met. my position has primarily been working on the local sustainable transport fund (LSTF) programme to help promote and link TfGM with local communities with employment opportunities and encourage sustainable commuting and business travel. working within the travel choices and commuter cycle project, providing a toolkit of creative materials from cycle training advertising both editorial, printed materials and web based through to the design and managing of the cycle hub programme, which looks to provide secure cycle facilities at key locations across greater manchester.this is balanced with producing a extremely varied range of public information. often at extremely short notice; hitting publication, radio and/or internet/web based deadlines all of which must be detailed and accurate. the role often involves multi-tasking, working on a creative promotional material, at the same time preparing a web based newsletter or new template for the TfGM website.

working a minimum of 3 days per week, involved with the technical and graphical aspects of the websites, designing the websites visual imagery and writing the page coding - creating graphics, illustrations, flash animations and manipulating photographs to use within the websites as well maintaining and updating existing sites.competent with utv medias own content management and ticketing system. the position requires planning, creating and coding of the web pages and online flash advertising - using both non-technical and technical skills to produce the websites and advertising so to fit the customer’s requirements. there are 13 unique local radio stations all requiring relevant legal and privacy codes that need to be met, as well as ensuring each individual company’s own branding policy’s are met. where required we aid and create printed promotional material from logo’s through to posters.
