Carolyn is a multiple Emmy Award-winning journalist with more than 35 years in the television industry. She has been honored with five Emmys, 14 Emmy nominations, and an Edward R. Murrow Award, as well as awards from the Texas Associated Press and WorldFest Houston International Film Festival.Carolyn’s current work in TV documentaries has been featured on Netflix, Discovery, Amazon Prime, BBC, True Crime Network, and Lifetime, among other national TV cable, broadcast, and streaming channels, in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and throughout Europe. Prior to her documentary work, Carolyn’s extensive career in TV news took her across the globe, where she covered devastating floods in Nicaragua, reported on famine relief projects in Ethiopia, investigated internet gambling on the island of Antigua, and filed a series of reports from the Canadian Arctic on efforts to protect the rights and interests of the Inuit people of Alaska, Canada, and Greenland. Closer to home, Carolyn has covered thousands of news and investigative stories ranging from hard-hitting exclusives to heartfelt human interest. She has anchored and reported for ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX network-owned and affiliate stations, as well as appearing on national broadcasts covering breaking stories including the murder of James Byrd, Jr. by three white supremacists in Jasper, Texas. Carolyn is fueled by a genuine passion for discovering and sharing compelling personal stories that connect with the viewer.
