Team manager of the European Commission H2020 EMERGE project (GA 10100870, 11 partners, funding: €6.2 M), national "Recovery and Resilience Plan"(PRR) From Fossil to Forest (project nº8 with the application C644920945-00000036, 27 national partners, funding: €34.5 M) and European REFORM project (GA 101070255, 12 European partners, funding: €3.6 M)Roles:- Monitorization of project progress (deliverables, milestones, risks) and develop strategies to mitigate risks;- Develop budgets and support administrative processes (equipment acquisition, recruiting, upgrade of infrastructure, travel arrangements); - Planning of tasks and agendas; - Write technical documentation (project plans, progress reports, status updates) and prepare presentations to partners and stakeholders;- Creation of online functionalities and marketing content for promotion, dissemination and communication of project’s activities: launch and management of EMERGE website (14.7k unique visitors, 87 subscribers) and LinkedIn page (307 followers); - Assistance to partners and stakeholders: 11 user-projects concluded in European research facilities and funded by EMERGE project (≈50 participants and 40 applications: 38% from industry, startups and small-medium enterprises);- Develop surveys and collect data from partners and users for strategic decision on project execution and improvement;- Supervision of R&D projects in the field of papertronics, printed electronics, sustainable electronics, and smart packaging: collaboration with NOS Inovação S.A. (filed European patent: EP22216959.1) and REFORM PROJECT (GA 101070255, funding: €3.6 M);- Promotion of outreach activities and mentoring/ tutoring of B.Sc., M.Sc. and PhD students;- Responsible for teaching practical classes of the academic program of MaterialsEngineering and Micro and Nanotechnology Engineering, and jury of academic degree of 3 MSc and 2 BSc students.

The vision of this PhD thesis is a new Era of eco-sustainable, low-power, affordable, flexible, and customizable, printed smart-systems onto paper/“paper-like” platforms to serve the comfort and welfare of citizens. To accomplish this vision, the R&D activities are focused on two key essential pieces of a transistor, the semiconductor (“heart”) and dielectric (“brain”). These materials are designed using cellulose-based materials as suitable matrix hosting the active material, which are integrated on paper substrates or reengineered cellulose “paper-like” ionic conductive substrates targeting low-power operation and low-temperature processing, while ensuring flexibility, recyclability/ biodegradability. User-friendly manufacturing processes, such as screen-printing and handwriting techniques as well as simple lamination processes, are used to create “on-demand” personal printed/ handwritten transistors and circuits, while having fun at it and without generating waste.Skills:- Experienced in materials processing ( cork, oxide and carbon materials), ink formulation, deposition methods (thermal evaporation, e beam evaporation, sputtering, screen printing, flexo printing, doctor blade, spin coating, spray coating, dip coating), characterization of materials and devices ( circuits, sensors, chromogenic tags, supercapacitors) and data analysis ( SEM, EDX, FTIR, AFM, DSC TGA, EIS, cyclic voltammetry, UV VIS NIR spectroscopy, I V curves);- Work in multicultural environments and speak English fluently, thanks to participation in various networking events, interaction with ERASMUS students and international researchers, and trips around Europe;- Ability to write high quality technical and scientific reports.

Our solution consists of a low-cost, energy-efficient, user-friendly and aesthetic self-adhesive electrically tinting foil based on electrochromic technology designed to be applied directly on the surface of any regular window for indoor applications. It filters glare, heat and harmful UV light and keeps the view, while saving energy and increasing productivity, health and comfort. Unlike typical expensive smart windows, there is no need to replace windows, it tints faster and adds simplicity as an adhesive that can be manually or automatically controlled and self-powered by the sun.
