Created the Model Integration team to fill high-priority cross-disciplinary gaps in modeling, simulation, and data-driven decision-making. Team products and activities included:- Improved interface for business-side decision-makers to run plant performance simulations and visualize results for technoeconomic trades- Wind and environmental data analysis studies at proposed plant sites to inform heliostat requirements- Collaborative R&D effort with academic partners to use machine learning to wind gust prediction at plant sites

Developed and and ran performance simulations for determining power plant specifications for customer proposals. Used high-dimensional parameter sweeps to select plant configurations based on technoeconomic trades. Worked closely with customer-facing business team to get new capabilities developed in simulation code and to use simulations for project proposals. Developed Jupyter notebook interfaces for business team members to run simulation tools.

Acted as systems lead in a fast-paced environment developing novel spacecraft architectures, developing concepts from the “napkin-sketch” stage to CAD assemblies representing all major spacecraft components. Interfaced with subject-matter experts for all major subsystems (e.g. thermal, power, telecom, mission/ConOps, propulsion), managing rapid iteration between changing requirements and design decisions.

Used radiation-hydrodynamics simulations to investigate the effects of xenon doping in National Ignition Facility inertial confinement fusion experiments.
