In my roles as Project Architect, Design Manager and Technical Advisor, I have been able to help clients by drawing on my conceptual design flair, detailed technical knowledge and thorough approach. As a fully qualified architect both in the UK (ARB, RIBA) and Germany, I have predominantly gained my experience in office and regeneration projects, both in the public and private sector. My skills range from client engagement, brief writing, conceiving of architectural strategies, concept design, detailed technical design and specification writing through to on-site construction coordination and inspection. I have been employed at Consarc Architects since 2003, returning in 2012 after a 3-year stay in Brasov, Romania, where, as client-side Design Manager and in-house Technical Advisor, I was responsible for the 120-hectare Coresi urban regeneration masterplan and office developments.Recently, I worked on the ambitious Community Hub programme for Redbridge Council, developing a brief for a network of new community buildings that would connect the residents with the council and partner organisations to improve local resilience. Also in the public sector, I undertook client-side technical design review and site inspections on behalf of Westminster City Council on the refurbishment of their 1960's office, and wrote the Occupiers’ Briefs for new HQ offices for Crawley Borough Council, Northamptonshire County Council and a European Institute (confidential). My regeneration experience ranges from strategic town centre revitalisation proposals for Nuneaton and Birkenhead to creating masterplans for private sector business parks such as Kent Science Park. At Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire. I also have experience of working within heritage and conversion contexts, working closely with English Heritage and heritage experts. In addition to the above, I have been collaborating with other architects, especially on interiors and workplace design, both in the private and public sectors. Also, I have been providing pro-bono architectural consultancy including the space brief to a maker’s space charity in Kilburn called, “Create Space London”, helping them to occupy “meanwhile” spaces.
